Our unique all natural 'Cocoa Tea Infusion' is made entirely from pure in-house roasted cocoa beans / husks only - no sugar and/or any other ingredients are added. Note that the cocoa bean tea comes 'loose' with 6 filter tea bags for you to fill for a perfectly clear infusion.
We suggest brewing the tea in a cup or tea pot with a lid. Heat water to about 80°C as boiling water would release too much of the chocolate volatile aroma, pour over loose tea or bag and let infuse, covered, for 4-5 minutes.
For an additional aromatic touch, we suggest adding fresh elements such as orange zest (or other citrus fruits), lemongrass, spices (I.e. cinnamon) and/or other aromatic to your liking. Please keep in mind that the stronger the aromatic addition is, the less the cocoa aroma will come through!
This unique sugar-free infusion is a healthy beverage alternative to coffee as cocoa beans are rich in powerful antioxidants such as polyphenols and naturally contain very low levels of caffeine (less than 10-times that of coffee per serving).
