This Plant Based Composed Chocolate Verrine Dessert is our version of "Haute Patisserie" desserts that offer very similar taste and texture of traditional desserts, but all made with pant-based ingredients only (no eggs, cream, butter, gelatin, etc.) so No Cholesterol! We apply the same 'constructivism' and scientific approach to our food design processes resulting in desserts that have distinct 'new' taste and textures!

This dessert features a plant based version of the Devil’s Food Cake made with fresh orange juice and zests infused in extra virgin olive oil and flavoured with coffee. The custard cream is made with oat ‘milk’ and hazelnut praliné flavoured with matcha tea powder and set with arrow root into a very ‘creamy’ texture. A compote of dried apricots + golden raisins and passion fruit puree is added next followed by a coffee infused oat ‘milk’ and dark btb chocolate ganache. For texture, the dessert comes with our Wild Sweets Cocoa Nib / Coconut Crunch.

Each elements of the composed dessert are designed to provide a different mouth-feel sensation and contrasting textures. The ingredients for this dessert includes the following;

  • Cake: orange juice + zest, organic cane sugar, flour, extra virgin olive oil, cocoa powder, instant coffee, apple cider vinegar, baking soda, baking powder, salt

  • Custard: oat milk, hazelnut praliné, organic cane sugar, arrow root powder, matcha tea powder

  • Compote: passion fruit puree, dried apricots, organic cane sugar, golden raisins, pectin, gellan gum

  • Ganache: btb dark chocolate, oat ‘milk’, maple syrup, dairy free vegan margarine, ground coffee

  • Crunch: cocoa nibs, shredded coconut, maple syrup, olive oil, organic cane sugar

Servings: Single dessert sold in a recyclable container

Serving/Storage: This dessert is sold 'Frozen' but we offer the option of 'Ready-To-Eat' with minimum 24-hours notice. If you would like us to condition this product, select the 'Ready To Eat’ box before adding to cart. When purchased 'Frozen', product can be kept in that state for up to 6-weeks (-18°C / 0°F). For best results, thaw in fridge for a few hours, overnight is best. Once thawed and/or purchased 'Ready To Eat', product must be stored in the fridge at all times and consumed within 48 hours. We suggest to remove dessert from the fridge about 10-minutes before serving to allow dessert to reach the perfect serving condition (temperature, texture and aroma).
