This Plant Based Chocolate Cake is our version of "Haute Patisserie" desserts that offer very similar taste and texture of traditional desserts, but all made with pant-based ingredients only (no eggs, cream, butter, gelatin, etc.) so No Cholesterol! We apply the same 'constructivism' and scientific approach to our food design processes resulting in desserts that have distinct 'new' taste and textures!

This Plant Based Travel Cake is inspired by our regular 'Designer Cakes', but 'dressed down' so that they can be offered via our 'Same Day Delivery Service'. As per the designer cakes, each elements of the cake are designed to provide a different mouth-feel sensation and/or contrasting textures. Specifically, the dessert is inspired on the classic moist 'German Chocolate Cake' with its almond and coffee flavour. The filling starts as a stirred custard and is loaded with toasted coconut, pecans and almonds for a rich 'buttery-like' texture. And finally the cake is topped with an Nama style soft ganache and more toasted coconut for texture. The Plant Based ingredients for this cake includes the following;

  • Cake: organic cane sugar, flour, oat 'milk', instant coffee + water, cocoa butter, cocoa powder, almond flour, instant coffee, apple cider vinegar, pure vanilla extract, baking soda, baking powder, salt

  • Custard: coconut milk, toasted nuts (coconut, pecan, almond), brown sugar, arrow root powder, pure vanilla extract, salt

  • Nama Ganache: dark crushed cocoa bean to bar chocolate (cocoa beans, organic cane sugar, cocoa butter), oat 'milk', plant based 'milk' chocolate (cocoa butter, organic cane sugar, roasted almonds, vanilla bean), plant based margarine, white Crème de Cacao liqueur, organic agave inulin, pure vanilla extract, Fleur de Sel sea salt. 
  • Crunch: toasted coconut

Servings: 2-3 servings depending on portion size

Serving/Storage: This dessert is sold 'Frozen' but we offer the option of 'Ready-To-Eat' with minimum 24-hours notice. For Delivery service, cakes are delivered from frozen state only. If you would like us to condition this product, select the 'Ready To Eat’ box before adding to cart. When purchased 'Frozen', product can be kept in that state for up to 6-weeks (-18°C / 0°F). For best results, thaw in fridge for a few hours, overnight is best. Once thawed and/or purchased 'Ready To Eat', product must be stored in the fridge at all times and consumed within 48 hours. We suggest to remove dessert from the fridge about 10-minutes before serving to allow dessert to reach the perfect serving condition (temperature, texture and aroma).
